Jose Mourinho surprised by Paris Saint-Germain aggression

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho says that Paris Saint-Germain are the most aggressive team that his side has faced this season.

Jose Mourinho has branded Paris Saint-Germain the "most aggressive" side that Chelsea have faced this season, ahead of the second leg of their Champions League tie.

The Premier League leaders host the French champions tomorrow, with the tie level at 1-1 after the meeting in Paris last month.

The manager said at his pre-match press conference: "A team with fantastic players was the team with that record of fouls, making foul after the foul. They were the team that stopped Eden Hazard with fouls all the time, the team that was attacking the man in possession of the ball with two or three players very aggressively.

"They were the team even with a player like Zlatan, a typical attacking player, who was coming back and tackling Hazard whenever his team lost the ball, tackling him from behind to stop a counter-attack. I have to be fair, I thought a team from England would never be surprised by aggression, because aggression is in our country.

"During this season we have played a few times against teams from the Championship in the cups, and we've played teams from League One in the cups and even a team from League Two, Shrewsbury, in the cups. But the most aggressive team was Paris St-Germain. For me, that was a real surprise, because for a team with so much quality I was expecting more football and less aggression."

PSG were knocked out of the Champions League by Chelsea last season.
