Chelsea midfielder Oriol Romeu believes that his Blues teammate Fernando Torres will make an impact for Spain at the European Championships.
The former Liverpool star has had a tumultuous first full season at Stamford Bridge, which saw him drop out of the national squad altogether. However, following a late surge at the end of the season and David Villa's absence, Torres has been given a spot in the squad.
"I think that Torres will be a very important player for the national team at the Euros because he is a player with great quality and experience and these characteristics are very important in a forward," Romeu told Marca.
"He is very important for Chelsea too. You only have to look at how the fans love him and chant his name, whilst he is also loved amongst the players and directors at the club."
Torres recently claimed that he has the full backing of Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich.
