Bolton Wanderers lead Charlton Athletic at the break thanks to strikes from Marvin Sordell and Medo Kamara.

Bolton Wanderers lead Charlton Athletic at the break in their Championship clash at The Valley.

The visitors had the perfect start to the game when Marvin Sordell found space just outside the penalty area and fired a shot past Ben Hamer into the net.

Bolton doubled their lead in the 21st minute as Kamara picked up the ball 25 yards from goal and let fly with a powerful low shot which hit the post before finding the net.

Charlton were back in the game immediately as Callum Harriott teed up skipper Johnnie Jackson on the edge of the area and he fired the ball past Andy Lonergan.

Ricardo Fuller went close to getting an equaliser for the home side as he turned Zat Knight but he scuffed his shot wide of the post.
