Cambridge United sign Nathaniel Mendez-Laing on loan

Peterborough United winger Nathaniel Mendez-Laing agrees to spend the remainder of the season with League Two side Cambridge United.

Cambridge United have completed the loan signing of Peterborough United winger Nathaniel Mendez-Laing until the end of the season.

The 22-year-old has struggled to hold down a regular place in the starting lineup at London Road so far this term, having made just 16 appearances in all competitions.

As a result, he will now spend the remainder of the campaign with Posh's Cambridgeshire rivals, for whom he will wear the number 25 shirt.

Mendez-Laing, who came through the youth ranks at Wolverhampton Wanderers, will go straight into the Cambridge squad for Saturday's League Two encounter against Portsmouth.
