Sean Dyche looking to follow example of Arsene Wenger at Burnley

Sean Dyche claims that he will look to follow Arsene Wenger's example by leaving a legacy at Burnley.

Sean Dyche has admitted that he is hoping to follow the example of Arsene Wenger as he looks to leave a legacy at Burnley.

It has been a difficult start to life back in the Premier League for the winless Clarets, who meet the Gunners at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon, but the Burnley boss is not panicking.

Dyche insists that he will attempt to operate in a similar way to Wenger as he continues to keep one eye on the long-term future of the club.

"He took the club forward and built his own version of it, so did Sir Alex Ferguson," Dyche told reporters.

"The club is absolutely the most important thing. As well as being a manager, you are the custodian for whatever period of time.

"I'll make sure during my period of time that the club is a whole lot better place than it was when I got here. That's progress in itself."

Dyche celebrated two years in charge of Burnley on Thursday.
