Brentford have reportedly rejected a transfer bid from Nottingham Forest for Yoanne Wissa.
Nuno Espirito Santo is keen to bolster their forward options before the summer transfer window slams shut on Friday.
Forest have experienced frustration in the last week, having seen a proposed switch for Arsenal's Eddie Nketiah fall through.
The Reds were then said to be making progress in their efforts to sign Feyenoord's Santiago Gimenez, but the 23-year-old is seemingly ready to turn down a Premier League move in favour of staying with the Dutch giants.

Brentford rejected Forest's Wissa bid
As a result, Forest have now turned their focus to other transfer targets and have seemingly identified Wissa as a potential option.
According to Sky Sports News, Forest have experienced more disappointment, having seen a £15m bid for Wissa turned by Brentford.
The Reds must now decide whether they want to improve their offer or turn their attention to alternative options in the closing stages of the transfer window.
Wolverhampton Wanderers have also shown an interest in Wissa and are keeping tabs on the situation ahead of the transfer deadline.
The attacker is currently under contract with Brentford until June 2026 after signing a fresh three-year deal in May 2023.

Brentford keen to retain Wissa's services
While it remains to be seen whether Forest make an improved bid, Brentford are believed to be keen to keep the DR Congo international at the Gtech Community Stadium.
Wissa, who can play as a winger or a forward, has scored 30 goals and provided nine assists in 112 competitive appearances since joining Brentford from Lorient in August 2021.
The 27-year-old is a valuable member of Thomas Frank's side and his role could grow in importance if Toney leaves the club over the next few days.
Toney, who has entered the final 12 months of his contract, has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli, while Chelsea are reportedly set to make a move for the England international.
With Toney heading towards an exit and Igor Thiago injured, Frank will be determined to keep hold of Wissa's services.
