Burton Albion striker Liam Boyce has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Bolton Wanderers.
Boyce did not make much of an impact while representing Burton in the Championship last season, but the 27-year-old has already netted four times during the current campaign.
According to Sky Sports News, that has resulted in Bolton taking an interest in the Northern Ireland international at a time when they sit towards the top of the second-tier standings.
However, the report suggests that Burton are unlikely to entertain any offers for the frontman at this stage of the transfer window, and with the Staffordshire-based club struggling towards the bottom of League One.
Boyce - who signed for Burton for a club-record fee - still has just under two years remaining on his contract.
