Blackburn Rovers manager Gary Bowyer insists that he is not under any pressure to sell any of his players at Ewood Park.

Blackburn Rovers manager Gary Bowyer has insisted that any player who leaves Ewood Park will only do so at the right price.

Bowyer has been handed the permanent manager's position at the Championship club, and he has already made three additions to his squad.

However, while he expects that some players will leave the club, the former reserve team manager will not be forced to make any sales.

The 41-year-old told reporters: "I've not been told that we have to sell anybody, that's been perfectly clear. I'm aware that we're making funds available to sign people already, like we have done. We'll be competitive in the market.

"I don't think there's any pressure to reduce the wage bill. Obviously with the financial fair play there's a lot of talk about that at the moment so that's something we have to look at, but there's no indication to say you must reduce the wage bill by a certain amount.

"But I'm fully aware of the fact that one or two players might want to leave. If that's the case then we would have to strike the best deal for the club."

Bowyer was twice placed in caretaker charge of the club last season.
