Paris Saint-Germain's Mamadou Sakho admits that he will use France's match with Spain to scout Barcelona's players ahead of the Champions League quarter-final.

Paris Saint-Germain centre-back Mamadou Sakho has admitted that he will be keeping an eye on how the Barcelona players perform during France's World Cup qualifier against Spain on March 26.

PSG meet Barca in the Champions League quarter-finals and the 23-year-old has pinpointed teammate Blaise Matuidi as a key player for both club and country.

"We play Barca soon after [France play Spain]," UEFA.com quotes Sakho as saying. "Of course we will keep a close eye on the players we are going to face.

"It's simple, [Matuidi is] out of the world! He's among the world's best in his position. He goes forward, defends, scores. I hope for PSG and for Les Bleus that he will carry on like this."

Sakho has 12 caps for France.
