Croatian midfielder Alen Halilovic has departed Barcelona to join German outfit Hamburger SV.
The 19-year-old joined Barcelona from Dinamo Zagreb in July 2014, but represented the Catalan club's B team during the 2014-15 season, before joining Sporting Gijon on loan in last summer's transfer window.
It had been thought that the Croatian would be given a chance to make his mark at Camp Nou after impressing in his 35 La Liga appearances for Gijon, but the teenager has been sold for £4.1m.
Barcelona, however, have retained a buy-back clause and will be able to re-sign the midfielder for £8.3m in the next two years.
