Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger praises West Ham midfielder Mohamed Diame following reports that the Gunners are interested in signing him.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has suggested that the club are interested in West Ham United midfielder Mohamed Diame.

The 25-year-old, who is expected to leave the London club after rejecting a new contract at Upton Park, is thought to be on Arsenal's transfer wishlist for this month.

"He has a great presence in the games, I have seen him have a big impact," Wenger said in a press conference. "He can drive the midfield."

Meanwhile, the Frenchman has insisted that the club were "never" interested in signing Crystal Palace youngster Wilfried Zaha.
