Lukas Podolski 'close to Inter Milan switch'

Out-of-favour Arsenal forward Lukas Podolski moves closer to agreeing a six-month loan deal with Inter Milan, according to reports.

Arsenal forward Lukas Podolski is reportedly close to agreeing a loan switch to Serie A side Inter Milan.

The German international this week appeared to fuel rumours of an imminent exit by suggesting that he was talking to the Gunners about his future.

Gazetta Dello Sport claims that the members of Inter's boardroom met with their counterparts from Arsenal over the weekend regarding a potential move.

It is thought that Podolski, who has been named on the bench for the club's London derby with West Ham United, will arrive at the Emirates Stadium at some stage on Sunday to continue discussions.

Podolski joined Arsenal from FC Koln in the summer of 2012.
