Chelsea, Arsenal put off by William Carvalho price tag?

Sporting Lisbon reportedly hope that Chelsea and Arsenal will be put off by the £12m price tag they have placed on William Carvalho.

Sporting Lisbon have reportedly placed a £12m price tag on William Carvalho in an effort to deter Arsenal and Chelsea.

Both the Gunners and the Blues are keen on the Portuguese youngster, but Sporting hope that the sizable fee will turn the Premier League duo away, according to The Express.

The leggy defensive midfielder has a buyout clause of £40m, but the Lisbon outfit hope that the more realistic £12m tag will be enough to keep him at Estadio da Luz.

Carvalho recently made his Portugal debut.
