Reports suggest that Aberdeen could make a move for Arsenal striker Rhys Murphy.

Aberdeen have targeted Arsenal striker Rhys Murphy, according to a report.

The 22-year-old, whose contract at the Emirates Stadium expires in the summer, is currently on loan at Dutch second-tier team Telstar, where he has scored seven goals in 20 appearances.

According to Sky Sports News, the Republic of Ireland Under-21 international has been training with the Scottish Premier League outfit as he seeks a move back to Britain.

Murphy, who has been offered a permanent deal at Telstar, has previously spent time on loan with Brentford and Preston North End.
