Scottish Premiership roundup: Leaders Aberdeen secure last-gasp draw

Aberdeen are held in a six-goal thriller while St Mirren edged a tense relegation clash.

Scottish Premiership leaders Aberdeen needed a dramatic stoppage-time equaliser from Ryan Jack to rescue a point in their 3-3 thriller against Dundee.

David Goodwillie fired the Dons in front, but two goals in as many minutes turned the game on its head, before Gary Harkins gave the Dark Blues a two-goal buffer early in the second period.

The Dons reduced the deficit with a Jonny Hayes penalty three minutes from time, and just when his spot kick was beginning to look like a consolation, Jack found the net to whip the home support into a frenzy.

The battle of the bottom two between Ross County and St Mirren finished 2-1 to the latter as Stephen Mallan netted three minutes from time to move his team three points clear of their basement-rooted opponents.

St Johnstone consolidated their position in the top six with a 2-0 win at home to Partick Thistle, David Mackay and Steven Anderson finding the net either side of half time.

Celtic defeated Hamilton Academical 2-0 in Saturday's early kickoff, and can move clear at the top if they avoid defeat in their matches in hand.

Two matches fell victim to the weather in the Scottish top flight, with Dundee United versus Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Kilmarnock's visit to Motherwell postponed.

Results in full: Hamilton 0-2 Celtic, Aberdeen 3-3 Dundee, Dundee Utd P-P Inverness, Motherwell P-P Kilmarnock, Ross County 1-2 St Mirren, St Johnstone 2-0 Partick Thistle
