Sports Mole rounds up Saturday's Scottish Premiership action as Aberdeen move four points clear of Celtic at the top with a 2-0 win at St Mirren.

Aberdeen moved four points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership with a 2-0 win at bottom club St Mirren this afternoon.

First-half goals from Niall McGinn and Shay Logan helped the Dons extend their lead over second-placed Celtic, who have two games in hand.

Dundee claimed the result of the day by thrashing Motherwell 4-1 at home, with strikes from Alex Harris, Greg Stewart, Gary Irvine and an own goal by Mark O'Brien.

In Saturday's only other game, Inverness Caledonian Thistle came from behind to defeat Kilmarnock 2-1 thanks to a double from Billy McKay which moved them above Hamilton Academical into third.

Ross County's meeting with Partick Thistle was postponed following a power cut at the Global Energy Stadium, while Celtic versus St Johnstone will take place at a later date as the Hoops are on a short winter break.
