How Real Madrid could line up against Real Betis

Sports Mole looks at how Real Madrid could line up in Sunday's La Liga clash with Real Betis.

Real Madrid will look to end what has been a disappointing 2018-19 season on a positive note when they welcome Real Betis to the Bernabeu on Sunday.

Madrid will end the campaign in third position in La Liga, but can give their supporters something to cheer heading into an important summer transfer window.

Los Blancos have only won once in the league since April 21, though, suffering defeats away to Rayo Vallecano and Real Sociedad in two of their last three matches.

That said, Zinedine Zidane's side have been victorious in each of their last five games in front of their own supporters and will be confident of overcoming an out-of-form Betis side this weekend.

Here, Sports Mole takes a look at how Madrid could line up on Sunday.

POSS RM XI vs. BET

Out: Alvaro Odriozola (collarbone), Casemiro (suspended), Jesus Vallejo (suspended)
Doubtful: Sergio Ramos (hamstring), Keylor Navas (muscle)

Sergio Ramos has not been involved in a La Liga match since the start of March due to a hamstring problem, missing his team's last seven top-flight fixtures. The Spain international is expected to return this weekend, though, in what is a huge boost for the European champions.

Keylor Navas missed the defeat at Sociedad with a muscular problem, but the Costa Rica international is also expected to start between the sticks on what could be his farewell appearance.

Alvaro Odriozola remains on the sidelines with a broken collarbone, though, while Jesus Vallejo's red card against Sociedad and Casemiro's yellow in the same match means that both are suspended.

It remains to be seen whether Gareth Bale is involved this weekend, but it would be a surprise if the Welshman did not make the bench as he prepares to say goodbye to the Bernabeu. The attacker's future is far from clear, although it would be a huge shock if he was still with the club beyond the end of this summer's transfer window.

Raphael Varane was left out against Sociedad but should return to the centre of defence, while Vinicius Junior, Luka Modric and Federico Valverde could be handed starting spots.

Brahim Diaz, who arrived at the Bernabeu from Manchester City in January, has been involved in Madrid's last five La Liga matches and after scoring against Sociedad, he could keep his spot in attack.
