Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy reportedly tells Manchester United that it will take a bid of at least £75m to prise Toby Alderweireld away from the club.

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly told Manchester United that they will not accept anything less than £75m for centre-back Toby Alderweireld this summer.

Alderweireld has been one of Jose Mourinho's main transfer targets throughout the current window, but talks over a deal for the Belgian are still ongoing between Daniel Levy and Ed Woodward.

The defender has just one year remaining on his current Spurs contract, although the club do have the option to trigger a 12-month extension next summer.

However, doing so would also activate a £25m release clause in Alderweireld's contract, leaving United hopeful that they would be able to drive the 29-year-old's price down this summer.

The Mirror reports that Levy is refusing to lower his demands, though, and has informed United that they will need to pay the full £75m if they are to get their man.

Mourinho and Woodward are understood to have identified other targets should they not be able to come to an agreement with Spurs, including Paris Saint-Germain defender Marquinhos and AC Milan's Leonardo Bonucci.
