Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho hands a recall to Jesse Lingard for Monday night's Premier League fixture at Crystal Palace.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has handed a recall to Jesse Lingard for Monday night's Premier League fixture at Crystal Palace.

Eight days ago, Lingard came off the bench to score United's winning goal in the 2-1 triumph at home to Chelsea and the England international has been rewarded with a place in the side for the game in London.

Anthony Martial is the man to drop out of the team, with the attacker not involved in the 18-man squad, and it is the only alteration made by Mourinho.

Marcus Rashford remains on the substitutes' bench, despite Mourinho having to answer questions regarding the forward's lack of game time in 2018.

As for Palace, Roy Hodgson has made two changes to the team which succumbed to a 1-0 defeat at home to Tottenham Hotspur last weekend.

Timothy Fosu-Mensah is unable to face his parent club, while Jairo Riedewald is only selected among the replacements, so Martin Kelly and Jeffrey Schlupp have been brought into the team.

New signing Diego Cavalieri features on the bench after arriving at the Eagles on a free transfer.

Crystal Palace: Hennessey; Wan-Bissaka, Kelly, Tomkins, Van Aanholt; Townsend, McArthur, Milivojevic, Schlupp; Benteke, Sorloth
Subs: Cavalieri, Souare, Delaney, Rakip, Jach, Riedewald, Lee

Manchester United: De Gea; Valencia, Lindelof, Smalling, Young; Matic, McTominay, Pogba; Lingard, Sanchez, Lukaku
Subs: Pereira, Bailly, Darmian, Shaw, Carrick, Mata, Rashford
