Ronald Koeman expects no favours from Manchester City

Ronald Koeman reveals that he is not expecting any favours from Manchester City this Sunday.

Ronald Koeman has revealed that he is not expecting any favours from Manchester City this Sunday, as the Dutchman looks to snatch a Europa League spot.

Manuel Pellegrini's side have secured Champions League football for next season after mathematically finishing second in the league but the Saints still have the chance of a top-six finish and the possibility to play their own European football next season.

However, Koeman realises that City will not just roll over and allow them three easy points at the Etihad.

"They are professional, they're playing at home and they'd like to finish their season in a good way," Koeman said, according to Goal.com.

"It's a tough one. They have a strong team with good individual players, but we believe in ourselves that we can get a good result.

"It's still a fantastic season. Of course it makes it more special if we reach Europe in league football."

Southampton sit seventh in the table, just outside of the Europa League places, but an Arsenal victory over Aston Villa in the FA Cup final will mean that seventh place will secure European football for next season.
