Ronald Koeman expecting quiet summer

Southampton boss Ronald Koeman expects the Saints to enjoy a quiet summer transfer window in comparison to last time around.

Manager Ronald Koeman has said that Southampton will not be as prolific in the upcoming transfer window as they were last summer.

Koeman, who replaced Mauricio Pochettino at the end of last season, oversaw an exodus at St Mary's as Dejan Lovren, Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana, Luke Shaw and Calum Chambers all moved elsewhere.

The Dutchman reinvested the money in no fewer than 10 players - three of whom were loan deals - while the Saints look on course for Europa League qualification this season.

"I think it will be more stable than last year, that's for sure," he told reporters. "We had so many changes in the team and I don't think that will happen again."

Despite welcoming a raft of talent to the South Coast last summer, Southampton still finished the window with a £31m profit.
