Wolverhampton Wanderers predicted XI vs. Chelsea: Starting lineup as Matheus Cunha doubt emerges

Will Cunha recover in time? How Wolves could line up against Blues on Monday

Sports Mole looks at how Wolverhampton Wanderers could line up for Monday's Premier League clash with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Vitor Pereira will hope his side can rediscover winning ways on Monday night in the Premier League against Enzo Maresca's Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, but he will have to contend with a number of injury absentees.

The visitors will be without midfielder Boubacar Traore until the middle of February due to a knee injury, and in his absence, the Wolves boss may start Andre and Joao Gomes together in a double pivot.

Pereira has had to name full-back Matt Doherty in his back three in each of his six games in charge, and he may be forced to do so again on Monday as centre-backs Toti Gomes and Yerson Mosquera will not be in the matchday sqaud.

Doherty could be partnered by Santiago Bueno and Emmanuel Agbadou in defence considering the trio featured in a back three last time out against Newcastle United on January 15.

Rayan Ait-Nouri has been a stalwart as a left-sided wing-back, and though Nelson Semedo has been declared fit, Pereira could opt to field Rodrigo Gomes on the opposite flank.

In attack, winger Enso Gonzalez and striker Sasa Kalajdzic have both been ruled out, and it would not be surprising if Hee-Chan Hwang and Jorgen Strand Larsen formed two thirds of their side's front three.

Talisman Matheus Cunha is a doubt for Monday's clash as a result of illness, but while he missed training on Friday, there is a chance that he could recover in time to face Chelsea.

Wolverhampton Wanderers possible starting lineup: Sa; Doherty, Bueno, Agbadou; R Gomes, Andre, J Gomes, Ait-Nouri; Hwang, Cunha; Larsen
