Chelsea injury, suspension list and return dates for Arsenal: Gusto, Madueke, Jackson latest

Sports Mole rounds up all of Chelsea's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Sunday's Premier League London derby with Arsenal.

On the hunt for a fifth successive victory across all competitions, Chelsea travel to the Emirates for Sunday's Premier League London derby with top-four rivals Arsenal.

Enzo Maresca's side have rediscovered that winning feeling in recent weeks, although neither of their last two slender successes at Stamford Bridge have been convincing by any stretch.

Indeed, last weekend's 1-0 top-flight win over Leicester City preceded an identical triumph over Copenhagen on Thursday, although that result was still enough for a place in the Conference League quarter-finals.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Chelsea's injury and suspension news ahead of their trip to Arsenal, who are two places and six points better off than the Blues in the Premier League table.

Malo Gusto

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: March 16 (vs. Arsenal)

Malo Gusto suffered a blow to the ankle in the first leg of Chelsea's Conference League win over Copenhagen, and having missed the Blues' last two matches, he remains a doubt for the London derby.

Omari Kellyman

Status: Out
Type of injury: Fitness
Possible return date: Unknown

Omari Kellyman has finally made his return to Under-21s action several months on from a serious hamstring injury, but as he is still lacking match fitness, he will not be considered for senior selection yet.

Nicolas Jackson

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: April 2 (vs. Tottenham Hotspur)

Nicolas Jackson sustained a severe hamstring issue of his own in the home win over West Ham United in early February, but the Senegal striker could be back in action straight after the international break.

Marc Guiu

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: April 2 (vs. Tottenham Hotspur)

Jackson's replacement against the Irons - Marc Guiu - was also the victim of a similar injury in the same game, but the Spaniard may also be fit to return at the start of next month.

Noni Madueke

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: April 2 (vs. Tottenham Hotspur)

Likewise, Noni Madueke's hamstring problem should settle down in time for the clash with Tottenham Hotspur early next month, but he will not be available for this game or Thomas Tuchel's first England squad.

CHELSEA'S SUSPENSION LIST

Mykhaylo Mudryk

Possible return date: Unknown

Mykhaylo Mudryk tested positive for meldonium in late 2024, and the Ukraine international is still serving a provisional suspension while an investigation continues.
