Andy Murray has booked a spot in the Dubai Championship semi-finals after defeating Tomas Berdych 6-3 7-5.
The Scotsman started off strong in Dubai by breaking Berdych's serve in the second game of the opening set.
The Czech pro soon began to find his feet and managed to clinch his service games until Murray pushed forward and snatched the first set.
Murray continued to control the contest and stole another break of serve in the early stages of the second set.
Despite the British number one's dominance, Berdych managed to claim a double break and take the lead 4-3.
It became a tight affair between the competitors and Berdych almost forced through a third and final set, but Murray managed to finish off the contest and serve out the match.
The Scotsman will face either Novak Djokovic or Janko Tipsarevic in the semi-final.
