London Wasps winger Tom Varndell has claimed that he is feeling as fresh as ever after returning to the side following a three-month injury absence.
The 28-year-old tore his bicep back in January, but he made a try-scoring comeback on Saturday as Wasps beat Gloucester Rugby 38-30 at Adams Park.
"It was always a target of mine to be back for this game, I was just so happy to get out there and get playing again," Varndell told the Aviva Premiership's official website.
"The arm feels good, it feels really good. I was happy with it, I took some contact on it and it felt good throughout the whole game.
"I do more work on my speed now than I ever did before. This is definitely the freshest I have ever felt, but that comes with being out injured - you get to work on things you wouldn't have time for if you were playing every week. I'm ready to push on now."
Wasps are back in action on Saturday when they host Bath in the semi-finals of the Amlin Challenge Cup.
