Justin Tipuric wants the British and Irish Lions to maintain their momentum heading into the next match of the tour on Tuesday.

British and Irish Lions flanker Justin Tipuric has urged his side to maintain their momentum heading into their clash with a Combined Queensland-New South Wales Country XV on Tuesday.

The tourists made it three successive wins on their tour of Australia after they defeated Queensland Reds 22-12 on Saturday.

The Welsh international, who will make his second start of the trip, is eager for the Lions to keep their current form going.

"We've kept our momentum going from the first game, so we just want to keep doing the same on Tuesday," Tipuric told BBC Sport.

"I think they'll come flying out of the blocks first 20 minutes and we've got to make sure we front up and make sure we come flying out of the blocks.

"It all depends on how we start the game - and hopefully we'll start the game well and bring it that intensity and physicality they won't be able to cope with."

The Lions face Australia in the first Test of the series on June 22.
