Tony Pulis hopeful of signing Cardiff City goalkeeper David Marshall

Tony Pulis insists that Cardiff City goalkeeper David Marshall could still join West Bromwich Albion before the end of the transfer window.

West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Pulis has refused to rule out a move for Cardiff City goalkeeper David Marshall.

Cardiff claimed on Thursday that the Scotland international was not for sale after rejecting a bid from the Baggies.

Despite the Championship club's reluctance to part company with the 30-year-old, Pulis believes that a deal can still be made.

"It's out of my jurisdiction now, it's down to the money men. Never say never until the window closes," he is quoted as saying by BBC Sport. "We'd like Marshall, and the two clubs have been talking for nearly five weeks."

Marshall's current contract at the Cardiff City Stadium is due to expire at the end of the 2017-18 season.
