Watford head coach Slavisa Jokanovic has revealed that he is not yet close to signing a new deal with the club.
The 46-year-old has earned widespread praise for the job that he has done at Vicarage Road this season, having guided the Hornets into the Premier League for the first time since 2007.
Jokanovic's contract is set to expire this summer, which has apparently alerted top-flight sides, but the Serbian has insisted that he does want to remain at Watford.
"We are not close but my first choice is to stay at Watford and I hope we reach an agreement soon," he told The Sun.
Jokanovic took charge of Watford in October, becoming their fourth manager of the season.
