Vitesse Arnhem hopeful of Wilfried Bony stay

Vitesse Arnhem interim director Erwin Kasakowski remains hopeful that the club can keep Wilfried Bony.

Vitesse Arnhem interim director Erwin Kasakowski is hopeful that the Dutch outfit can keep hold of Wilfried Bony until the end of the season.

The 24-year-old has scored 22 goals for the club this season, leading to suggestions that a host of European clubs were monitoring his progress.

Interest from Russia has also been reported, with the transfer window in that country open until late on Wednesday.

"He leaves every day after training. Then he goes home. The next day he comes back, also as one of the first," Kasakowski told Voetbal International.

"No, I do not think he leaves. Up to this moment we have received no serious offer. However, nothing is certain until the market is closed."

Vitesse currently sit fourth in the Eredivisie.
