Swansea City linked with move for French midfielder Benjamin Stambouli

Swansea City reportedly lead the race to sign Montpellier midfielder Benjamin Stambouli, who wants a move to the Premier League.

Swansea City are poised to move for Montpellier HSC defensive midfielder Benjamin Stambouli, according to reports.

The player is said to have received offers from a number of clubs, but is thought to be keen on a move to Wales.

Marseille had a meeting with the player's agent today to discuss a potential transfer to the French giants. However, talks were unproductive, according to Canal+.

Fiorentina are also believed to have an offer on the table for the player, although the lure of the Premier League puts the Swans in the driver's seat.

The Welsh outfit have also been linked with a move for teenage striker Madou Barrow this morning.
