Swansea City boss Carlos Carvalhal suggests that he will continue to rotate his squad for the FA Cup fifth-round clash at former club Sheffield Wednesday.

Swansea City boss Carlos Carvalhal has said that he will not take "any risks" with any first-team players who are carrying knocks ahead of the FA Cup tie with Sheffield Wednesday.

On Saturday lunchtime, Carvalhal returns to his former club - less than two months after being removed from his position at Hillsborough - having taken the Swans outside of the Premier League relegation zone.

However, despite having made progress through to the last 16 of the FA Cup, Carvalhal has admitted that his priority remains continuing the club's progress in the top flight.

At a press conference, the 52-year-old told reporters: "We will play a game in the Cup against a good side in the Championship. It is very difficult to play at Hillsborough. We will not change our path when compared with the past.

"We must respect Sheffield Wednesday and the Cup, but our main priority is to try and stay in the Premier League so we will not take any risks."

Swansea have come through replays with Wolverhampton Wanderers and Notts County to reach this stage of the competition.
