Stoke City will hope to prevent Arsenal from extending their lead in third place of the Premier League table when they host the Gunners at the Britannia this Saturday.

Stoke City can put Arsenal's place in third spot under threat by denying the Gunners a victory at the Britannia Stadium this weekend.

Arsene Wenger's side are just three points ahead of Newcastle United in the table, while the Potters can launch near to 10th spot with a win over their North London opponents.

Tony Pulis is likely to be without Andy Wilkinson after the defender picked up a knock during Stoke's 3-0 defeat to the Magpies last weekend.

Ryan Shotton is expected to fill in at right-back while Marc Wilson could occupy the left position in defence.

Meanwhile, Wenger could bring in Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to replace injured Theo Walcott, with Yossi Benayoun providing service to Robin van Persie, who was named the PFA and Football Writers' Player of the Year this week.

Current form:

Stoke: DDLWDL
Arsenal: WLWWLD

Possible lineups:

Stoke: Begovic; Shotton, Huth, Shawcross, Wilson; Delap, Whelan, Palacios, Etherington; Walters, Crouch

Arsenal: Szczesny; Sagna, Vermaelen, Koscielny, Gibbs; Song, Ramsey; Oxlade-Chamberlain, Rosicky, Benayoun; Van Persie

Sports Mole says: 1-2
