Newcastle United go fourth with a 3-0 win over Stoke City.

Newcastle United have leapfrogged Tottenham Hotspur into fourth with a comfortable 3-0 win over Stoke City.

Papiss Cisse nearly opened the scoring after 13 minutes after he rose to meet Hatem Ben Arfa's cross, but his header struck the upright.

However, the home side were ahead just moments later when Yohan Cabaye nodded in from close range to break the deadlock.

Cabaye then turned provider for Cisse, who notched his 11th of the season just five minutes later.

The Magpies made it three just before the hour mark, with Cabaye grabbing his second of the game to wrap up the points.

Spurs could reclaim fourth spot with victory in the late kickoff against Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road.
