Tottenham Hotspur's sacking of Andre Villas-Boas reportedly cost the club in the region of £4.5m.
The Portuguese coach was relieved of his duties on Monday Monday, following the 5-0 defeat to Liverpool on Sunday evening.
However, according to the London Evening Standard, the cost of sacking Villas-Boas, who only took over in July 2012, was close to £5m following the agreement severance pay.
The former Chelsea and Porto boss was axed after leading Spurs to seventh in the Premier League despite spending £110m on transfers in the summer.
