Aitor Karanka: 'Middlesbrough making the same mistakes'

Middlesbrough manager Aitor Karanka suggests that his side are suffering from repetitive errors following their defeat against Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.

Middlesbrough manager Aitor Karanka has criticised his players' mistakes and their attitude following the club's 2-1 defeat at home to Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.

The Yorkshire club were unable to prevent Spurs from claiming all three points at the Riverside, as Son Heung-min scored twice to nullify a response from the hosts' Ben Gibson, leaving Karanka to take aim at a number of issues visible in his performance.

"It's frustrating for me to work for seven days to try to show them how Tottenham play and how good they are if we let them play, then we go on the pitch and seven minutes later we are losing 1-0," said the Boro boss, according to BBC Sport.

"These mistakes were made last week and the week before, but the worst and most frustrating thing for me was the attitude, especially in the first half because in the second half we were completely different."

Karanka's men have so far managed to take five points from six games this season, leaving them in 15th place in the table.
