Cambridge United confirm Tottenham Hotspur friendly

Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur will visit Cambridge United for a pre-season friendly early next month.

League Two side Cambridge United have scheduled in a pre-season friendly with Tottenham Hotspur.

The Premier League side will visit the R Costings Abbey Stadium on Tuesday, August 6.

"We are very grateful to Tottenham Hotspur for arranging this fixture and agreeing to bring a strong team. They recognise the effect that can have for a club like ourselves and the opportunity it will create for us to attract a really big crowd and generate funds," Cambridge's director of football Jez George told the club's official website.

The match will be Cambridge's last before the new Football League season gets underway.
