West Ham United claimed a 3-0 victory in their second pre-season friendly outing of the summer against Southend United this afternoon.
The Hammers were two goals to the good at the break courtesy of strikes from Nicky Maynard and young defender Jordan Spence.
The scoring was completed midway through the second half by former MK Dons frontman Sam Baldock.
Sam Allardyce's side continued to dominate the encounter, but they were unable to add to their scoring tally.
There was a cause for concern for Allardyce when defender Dan Potts was stretchered off with a head injury towards the end of the encounter.
