Schalke 04 striker Klass-Jan Huntelaar has been ruled out for a month after suffering a knee injury in Saturday's defeat at Wolfsburg.
Huntelaar came off at half time in the 4-0 loss following a collision with Die Wolfe goalkeeper Diego Benaglio.
The Dutch marksman has suffered damage to his knee ligaments and will now be sidelined until the middle of September, ruling himself out of both legs of Schalke's Champions League qualifier against PAOK.
Jens Keller's side begin their quest for a place in the group stages when they host PAOK on Wednesday, with the Greek side coached by former Schalke boss Huub Stevens.
Huntelaar has been a prolific source of goals for Schalke since signing in 2011, scoring 80 times in 119 appearances.
