Julian Draxler insists that he will not leave Schalke for Borussia Dortmund anytime in his career.

Schalke midfielder Julian Draxler has insisted that he will not join Borussia Dortmund in the summer.

The 19-year-old's impressive performances for the German club this season have attracted attention from their Bundesliga rivals, who will lose playmaker Mario Gotze to Bayern Munich at the end of the season.

"Some took these rumours at face value, and that made me sad," he told WDR2 Radio. "Once and for all, I can promise I will not play for Borussia Dortmund."

Draxler later wrote on his Facebook page: "I can assure you that, with all due respect, I will not play for Borussia Dortmund next season if I am not brainwashed. This also applies for the years to come."

Draxler's current contract with Schalke runs until 2016.
