Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale has reportedly emerged as a summer transfer target for DC United.
The Wales international's association with Los Blancos will come to an end this summer when he departs the Santiago Bernabeu at the end of his contract.
With Wales in action in a World Cup playoff final fixture in June, it has been well documented that the 32-year-old will not make a decision on his future until after that encounter.
However, according to the Washington Post, DC United are ready to offer Bale the opportunity to move to the United States from July onwards.
The report claims that the MLS side are prepared to hand the frontman a deal, which is said to be more lucrative than Wayne Rooney's in the past, until November.
Welsh club Cardiff City are also regarded as a realistic next destination for Bale should his country qualify for the next World Cup.
