Steve Clarke not getting carried away with Reading form

Reading boss Steve Clarke is adamant that he will not allow his side to become complacent despite their good run of form in the Championship.

Reading boss Steve Clarke has insisted that he is not getting carried away by his side's good run of form following their 2-1 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Goals from Pavel Pogrebnyak and Danny Williams fired the Royals to their second win a row in the Championship and put distance between themselves and the relegation zone.

Clarke told Sky Sports News: "It's not too bad. We are doing okay. Slowly we are trying to build something here. The first thing was just to stabilise, make us harder to beat and I think we have done that.

"I think the recent record shows that and I think we just have to build from game to game and pick up as many points as we can between now and the end of the season.

"There are no targets. Just before playing Sheffield Wednesday last week we were looking over our shoulders at the teams below us. We won but so did the teams around us. Now the gap goes to 10 points but there is no room for complacency. We want to make the gap as big as we can. Keep the foot down, keep working and try and get as many points as we can."

Reading are now 13th in the Championship table, 10 points clear of the bottom three.
