Rangers boss Ally McCoist has expressed his delight at signing former Lyon defender Sebastian Faure.

The 21-year-old France youth international joined the Gers on a three-year deal earlier today following a successful summer trial at Ibrox.

"Sebastien is a 20-year-old lad and he will be good for us," said McCoist. "He's another one for the future although I hope he goes into the team and plays.

"He is young, aggressive enough and has a good attitude to play. I think he will do well. His future is in front of him and hopefully that will be at Ibrox."

Faure was capped 12 times at Under-20 level by Les Bleus.
