The future of Queens Park Rangers midfielder Adel Taarabt is reportedly in doubt after he failed to take part in a comeback game on Tuesday.
Hoops boss Harry Redknapp is said to have specifically identified the Under-21s meeting against Swansea City as the ideal setting for the Moroccan to return to action, although Taarabt was ruled unfit.
A report in The Guardian claims that the 25-year-old has now squandered his second second chance at Loftus Road having fallen out of favour under Redknapp, who recently labelled Taarabt as being "overweight".
QPR picked up a morale-boosting victory over Aston Villa on Monday night to climb off the bottom of the Premier League table and into 19th place.
