Preston North End have confirmed the permanent signing of Jermaine Beckford from Bolton Wanderers on a two-year deal.
The 31-year-old will officially join the Championship club when his contract with Bolton expires on July 1.
Beckford spent the second half of last season on loan at Deepdale, scoring 18 goals in 31 appearances.
Six of his goals came in the League One playoffs, including a hat-trick against Swindon Town in the final as Preston secured their place in the second tier with a 4-0 win.
"The management are a big reason (why I joined). We have just a good understanding and relationship and it was a no brainer really," Beckford told the club's official website.
"I had a great time last season and everybody here, the staff, players, have just been amazing with me and it's somewhere that feels like home. Last season was a great season for us and for me I just want to make sure that I give everything that I can give and do the best that I can do."
Beckford's previous clubs include Leeds United, Everton and Leicester City.
