Nottingham Forest are reportedly edging closer to signing former Bolton Wanderers defender Matt Mills.
The 28-year-old is a free agent after being released by the Trotters following the end of the Championship season.
Reports have suggested that the stopper underwent a medical at the City Ground last week but the two-year deal on the table could not be finalised at that time.
According to the Nottingham Post, Forest boss Dougie Freedman will meet Mills today to secure his signature.
Mills made 94 appearances for Bolton during his three years with the club.
Forest will also reportedly speak to Finland international goalkeeper Niki Maenpaa over a move.
