Nottingham Forest boss Dougie Freedman has revealed that there is no truth in a report linking him with a move for defender Matt Mills.
Freedman worked with Mills during his time at Bolton Wanderers, and although the centre-back will be available on a free transfer in the summer, the Scot has insisted that he won't be attempting to sign the former Leicester City man.
The 40-year-old told BBC Radio Nottingham: "Matt Mills is a very easy story. He is a free transfer and I have worked with him before, but it's a false story.
"I am in the market for a centre-back and he is somebody I admire and is a good guy, but I have a wider range in my recruitment team to pick from."
Freedman has won seven of his 17 games in charge of Forest since arriving at the City Ground in February.
