Middlesbrough have reportedly maintained their interest in signing Millwall midfielder George Saville.
Boss Tony Pulis has acknowledged that he is keen to make new additions before the end of the summer transfer, and Millwall have previously rejected bids for Saville and Jed Wallace.
However, according to Sky Sports News, Boro are persisting with their interest in Saville and a loan deal looks a possibility before the weekend.
The report suggests that Millwall are open to parting ways with the Northern Ireland international providing that they can secure a replacement in the coming days.
Saville has emerged as one of Millwall's key men over the past year, scoring 10 goals from 48 appearances in the Championship.
