Borussia Dortmund attacker Jadon Sancho could reportedly reject a move to Manchester United if the Red Devils fail to secure a Champions League spot for the 2020-21 campaign.
The Red Devils had been in impressive form before football was called to a halt last month and currently sit fifth in the Premier League table, just three points off fourth-placed Chelsea.
There is no guarantee that the season will be allowed to resume, though, and it is therefore unclear whether Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side will have the chance to battle for a Champions League spot for next term.
United are believed to lead the race for Sancho, but according to The Sun, the 20-year-old could turn down a move to Old Trafford if the club fail to secure a return to Europe's premier competition.
Fifth in the league could be enough to secure Champions League football depending on the outcome of Manchester City's appeal over a European ban, while Solskjaer's side could also qualify by winning the Europa League.
Sancho has allegedly been offered a £400,000-a-week contract by the 20-time English champions.
