Report: Manchester United want £23.5m Enzo Perez

A report claims that Manchester United want to sign Benfica midfielder Enzo Perez in January.

Manchester United are reportedly preparing to activate the release clause of Benfica midfielder Enzo Perez in the January transfer window.

The 28-year-old only signed a new four-year deal with Benfica in the summer, but it is understood that his contract includes a £23.5m buy-out clause.

According to The Express, United boss Louis van Gaal is a big admirer of the Argentine, who represented his country at the 2014 World Cup.

It is thought that Van Gaal wants to sign Perez to play on the right of his midfield diamond and will make his move in the winter window.
