Valencia have set their sights on signing a third player from Benfica this summer, with Argentine midfielder Enzo Perez the latest player to have been linked with a move away from the Portuguese club, according to reports.
Benfica have already lost goalkeeper Jan Oblak and left-back Guilherme Siqueira to Atletico Madrid, centre back Ezequiel Garay to Zenit St. Petersburg, winger Lazar Markovic to Liverpool, and duo Andre Gomes and Rodrigo to Valencia.
Now, Valencia are poised to inflict more damage and bid for a third Benfica player. Perez, 28, impressed at the World Cup in Brazil this summer, leading to plenty of interest in him from around Europe, according to HITC Sport.
"I am very calm, comfortable and happy at Benfica. On Monday, I travel to Portugal and if the opportunity arises to leave, it must be a mutual decision," Perez is quoted as saying.
Manchester United have also been credited with an interest in the midfielder, though they were reportedly put off by the £24m price tag placed on the player's head.
